It is a sad irony that just as we have been celebrating Earth Day, the Connecticut General Assembly has in the works the potential evisceration of our state’s widely lauded Connecticut Environmental Protection Act and turning its back on the very real successes we have had in protecting the environment for generations not yet born.

The proposed amendment to CEPA, H.B. 5475/File No. 419, Section 1(c) and Section 3, would greatly reduce the right to intervene and enable exemption of some developments from wetlands review.
