Years after technology made it possible, the lawyers making up New Jersey’s Big Law ranks aren’t strangers to plugging in remotely. But the implementation and utilization of formal flextime policies varies by firm.

The very term “flextime” may encompass two seemingly similar but fundamentally different ideas: Working remotely as needed or desired, and pre-approved alternative schedules to accommodate personal obligations, often family-related ones.
