Law firms looking to win over corporate clients for their class action litigation work need to bring more than their resume of defense verdicts and summary judgment wins. Cost control has emerged as a major consideration for in-house teams.

While this area of litigation is growing—75% of companies reported facing a labor and employment class action in the last five years and nearly 60% of corporate clients are facing class action litigation—the number of in-house attorneys managing class actions has dropped, according to a survey by Carlton Fields.
