After legal recruiting specialist Buchanan Law originally planned to open its U.S. office in New York, the firm decided to change course and open in Miami instead.

Buchanan Law, which mostly services U.S. law firms, had been planning an office in the U.S. for years. But after COVID-19 hit, the firm stayed put in London, where servicing those U.S. clients consisted of late hours, said Thomas Hanlon, head of the firm’s U.S. practice. After eying New York before the pandemic, the firm decided that Miami was a better fit when it finally decided to move this year.
