Slaughter and May has made a rare hire, strengthening its pensions group with the addition of a long-time Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer partner. Partner Charles Magoffin, who has been a partner at Freshfields since 2010, is set to join Slaughter and May as senior counsel in September, according to a release from the firm.
Magoffin, a Freshfields lifer according to his LinkedIn profile, has been advising on pensions-related matters for over 20 years.
