The Tennessee Court of Appeals this week vacated a sanctions order against an attorney who sought public records after it found the trial court erred by denying her request for public records based on her anticipated use of the material.

Former family law attorney, Connie Reguli of Brentwood, Tennessee, represented a 14-year old client against Williamson County juvenile detention center monitor Juan Cruz, in a sexual assault case, and attempting to retrieve public records to determine if taxpayers’ dollars were spent in his defense.
