In 2014, 2.7 percent of venture capital-funded companies had a female CEO, and 85 percent had an all-male executive team, according to a Babson College study.
To address these lopsided statistics, Perkins Coie is offering a 15 percent discount to startups that are founded or led by a woman. The program will be paired with educational seminars and networking events for women clients that are meant to give them a boost in the male-dominated startup world.
