The lawyer whose $140 million verdict brought down Gawker Media has filed a $15 million libel suit this week against Techdirt on behalf of Shiva Ayyadurai, who claims to have invented email.

Charles Harder of Beverly Hills, California’s Harder, Mirell & Abrams alleged in a suit filed on Wednesday in federal court in Massachusetts that Techdirt published 14 articles during the past two years, many in reference to a series in The Huffington Post, stating that his client is a “fraud” and a “liar” who did not invent email.
