Australian law firm MinterEllisonRuddWatts, one of the region’s “Big Six” firms, will join the ranks of law firms across the U.S. and elsewhere sponsoring legal technology development. The firm will partner with New Zealand technology investment group Goat Ventures in a joint venture to develop an AI-powered platform for document review.

Within the joint venture, Goat Ventures’ programming arm, called Rush Digital, will develop artificial intelligence technology with legal oversight from MinterEllison’s New Zealand attorneys.
