Big Law firms are continuing to lean more toward lateral associates than entry-level hires, doubling down on a trend that’s been taking shape for at least the last five years.

A recent report indicates Am Law 200 firms have widened the gap between entry-level and lateral associates in 2022, making about 1,765 more associate hires on the lateral market.
