Shearman & Sterling represented Paramount in its $1.62 billion sale of publishing arm Simon & Schuster to private equity firm KKR, which turned to Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, according to the deal announcement Monday afternoon. 

The Shearman team was led by mergers and acquisitions partners Dan Litowitz, Lara Aryani, Jason Pratt, Nick Withers and Simon Burrows and antitrust partner Jessica Delbaum. In total, the firm listed more than 30 attorneys who worked on the deal.
