Thompson Hine is making a change at the top as it celebrates its centennial. The firm announced that DEBORAH READ, who works in in its Cleveland headquarters, will become its new managing partner as of May 1. Read will take over from David Hooker, who has served as managing partner since 1997.
Read, whose practice focuses on corporate and tax matters for nonprofit organizations, foundations, and health care organizations, has long played a leadership role within Thompson Hine. She currently serves on the firm’s executive committee and as the firmwide hiring partner, and has previously chaired its tax, benefits, and planning practice and lawyer personnel committee, which handles compensation and career development for all nonpartner lawyers.
