Charlie Geffen, the former head of Ashurst who stood at the British firm’s helm for five years until he was replaced in 2013, is joining Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s London office.

Geffen is making the move to Gibson Dunn with Ashurst corporate partner Mark Sperotto, whose practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and private equity. The duo will join corporate partners Jonathan Earle and Nigel Stacey, both of whom made the same jump earlier this year.
