Cooley announced Monday the long-awaited opening of an office in London by picking up 55 lawyers from Edwards Wildman Palmer, which officially became Locke Lord Edwards following the completion of a merger on Jan. 10, and Morrison & Foerster.

Justin Stock, the head of MoFo’s corporate practice in London, will lead Cooley’s new outpost in the city. Joining Stock at Cooley are MoFo corporate and technology partners David Bresnick, Chris Coulter and Edward Lukins, as well as IP partner Nicholas Bolter from Edwards Wildman, which sees litigation partners Laurence Harris and Kevin Perry also head to Cooley’s London office, along with a five-partner reinsurance group led by partner David Kendall.
