Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz has snagged a share of $9 million in legal fees and costs emanating from the initial public offerings for online dating giant Match Group and startup mobile payments company Square.
The New York-based Am Law 100 firm, which perennially posts the nation’s highest profits per partner, is serving as co-counsel to Square with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati on an IPO that raised $243 million Wednesday, valuing the company at $4.77 billion.
