Three high-powered Am Law 100 firms are advising on a $1 billion deal announced late Tuesday that will see Major League Baseball sell a 33 percent stake in its BamTech streaming media unit to The Walt Disney Co.
News of the deal immediately made headlines in the sports and media world, where large cable companies and media conglomerates are increasingly concerned about “cord-cutting” viewers who shed their cable bills in favor of streaming services.
