DocuSign, a contract management company that aims, in part, to simplify work for lawyers, has hired a lawyer of its own.

The San Francisco-based company announced Trâm Phi as its new general counsel, corporate secretary and senior vice president Tuesday. Phi will lead the legal affairs and risk management teams, with more than 50 staff, to develop corporate strategy and work with the board of directors.
