Leading up to the expected launch of its first digital coin, The Libra Association announced last week that Saumya Bhavsar is the new general counsel for its payment system, Libra Networks. The hire comes as various media outlets report that the cryptocurrency, created by Facebook, could be launched as soon as January.

Bhavsar is the Libra Network’s first general counsel, and she is based in Zurich.
