Houston, Texas-based Halliburton announced Monday that Van Beckwith has been made executive vice president, secretary and chief legal officer after serving as the company’s general counsel for the past year.

Beckwith is tasked with leading the company’s legal department as well as its global communications and marketing and government affairs functions. A spokesperson said there are more than 150 professionals between those departments in more than 20 different locations.
