Southwest Airlines Co. and, potentially, its top lawyer, could experience some turbulence as an incoming CEO pilots the Dallas-based company through a series of leadership changes in the legal department and elsewhere. 

The shakeup follows Southwest president Tom Nealon’s sudden retirement Monday, after he lost out on the CEO job, which went to Bob Jordan, who is stepping up from his role as executive vice president.
