In this episode of the Legal Innovators Interview Series, host Leslie Gromis Baker of Buchanan Ingersoll and Rooney talks with Tom McGough, chief legal officer at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). Prior to joining UPMC, McGough was a partner at an AmLaw100 firm, where he also served as a member of the executive committee and as chairman of the litigation department. In this discussion, the two hit on the challenges of managing legal for a hospital during a pandemic and McGough’s experience as associate counsel to the Senate committee investigating the Iran-Contra affair in 1987.
