A wholesale gutting of Twitter’s legal department in the months following Elon Musk’s $44 billion takeover has reduced its in-house team to a skeleton crew, exposing the company to risk on multiple fronts.

A legal team that once stood at 150 employees is now closer to 10 to 20, according to a source familiar with the situation, though that figure could not be independently verified.
