US Foods, one of the nation’s largest restaurant suppliers, has appointed Martha Ha as executive vice president and general counsel, hiring her away from Medtronic, where she’d worked for seven years, most recently as chief privacy officer and chief counsel for corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracts.

Ha replaces Kristin Coleman, who’d been US Foods’ legal chief for six years when she departed in November to  become legal chief of specialty chemicals maker Albemarle. She will report to CEO Dave Flitman.
