General counsel usually don’t put themselves in the political spotlight—generally preferring to do their wheeling and dealing behind the scenes. But Tom Moriarty is a bit of an exception.
In April, Moriarty, executive vice president and general counsel at CVS Health, also became the pharmacy company’s chief policy and external affairs officer. The role marries corporate communications, legal, government affairs and public policy duties and often positions Moriarty as the company’s voice in the public dialogue surrounding health care.
