Could Connecticut enhance its role in the national presidential nominating process by moving its presidential primary election from the last Tuesday in April to the first Tuesday?

We think the answer is yes, and therefore endorse the passage of legislation to change the date of the 2024 primary election from April 30 to April 2, now scheduled for review during a special legislative session opening on Sept. 26.
