If Brickell is the Wall Street of the South, Palm Beach County might be Greenwich or East Hampton—where the real money lives, for part of the year at least.

Yet as major banks and financial institutions relocate further south, national firms’ interest in Palm Beach County appears to remain focused on servicing the wealthy individuals who run those institutions. The county hasn’t seen the same migration of large law firms that’s occurred in Miami-Dade and Broward counties in the past two years. The 2021 arrival of Cozen O’Connor followed a similar trend, adding elder law, private client and fiduciary litigation capabilities to the firm.
