With the stroke of his pen this morning, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis passed the so-called “Tort Reform” bill, officially known as House Bill 837.
The Florida legislature said they enacted the Civil Remedies bill to decrease frivolous lawsuits and prevent predatory practices of trial attorneys who prey on hardworking Floridians.
