By next month, Florida’s largest law firm will move across town to a state-of-the-art headquarters at Brickell City Centre, becoming the biggest tenant at the largest mixed-use project in Miami history that will include condominiums, shopping and a movie theater.
The move from the downtown SunTrust International Center, where Akerman spent the last two decades, is five to six months behind schedule, but construction experts say that amount of lag time is expected on major construction projects like this one.
