Georgia Supreme Court Justice Keith Blackwell will join Alston & Bird in January after ending his tenure on the court Wednesday, the firm has announced.

Blackwell will become senior counsel in Alston & Bird’s litigation and trial practice group after starting his career in private practice at the firm in 2000. “Justice Blackwell brings a remarkably broad and distinguished body of judicial experience to our firm and our clients,” said Jim Grant, co-leader of Alston & Bird’s litigation practice, in the announcement.
