Chief Judge Alvin Wong was elected to his seventh term on the DeKalb County State Court in 2022 and stepped into his new role as chief judge this January. In 1998, Wong was the first Asian Pacific American to run for office in metro Atlanta and be elected judge in the Southeast. Prior to joining the bench, he practiced as an Atlanta corporate and trial attorney for 22 years.
