A fee-splitting dispute brought by ex-law partners of retired Atlanta trial lawyer L. Lin Wood could finally proceed to trial in 2024, and would likely require the services of a special master, said Judge Scott McAfee who is presiding over the yearslong dispute, which is poised to finally enter discovery.

A hearing on Wood’s motion to dismiss a fraud claim in the lawsuit-took place at the Superior Court of Fulton County on Friday, just days after he retired from the practice of law.
