It’s quickly become one of Georgia’s most dramatic judicial contests in the May 21 nonpartisan primary election cycle.

Just days before early voting begins on April 29, Jonesboro attorney Loletha Hale’s challenge of appointed Judge Stephen N. Knights Jr. ended Thursday after county election officials announced their decision to boot Hale from the judicial race—but not the ballot.
