About 600 lawyers and judges will be gathering on the Georgia coast this week, lured there by the expansion of convention and hotel accommodations on Jekyll Island.

For the first time in about 20 years, the annual State Bar of Georgia Family Law Institute will be held in its home state May 19 through 21, according to Marvin Solomiany of Kessler & Solomiany, this year’s event chair. He noted that the calendar will feature for the first time live oral arguments before the Georgia Court of Appeals on Friday.
