Paratek Pharmaceuticals was hit with a shareholder lawsuit on Sept. 15 in Delaware Court of Chancery over the company’s proposed acquisition by Novo Holdings and Gurnet Point Capital for $462 million. The suit was filed by Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossman, Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check and Brodsky Smith on behalf of Michael Francis Scarcello, who seeks to inspect the company’s books and records in connection with the deal. According to the complaint, the proxy statement filed in support of the deal contains misleading information. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2023-0941-, Michael Francis Scarcello v. Paratek Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
