Herbert Smith Freehills has joined other global law firms in Australia in requiring staff to show proof of vaccination before they can return to the firm’s offices in Sydney and Melbourne and is considering rolling out the policy nationally.

The firm’s Sydney office is open for critical business needs and is set to reopen for all staff who wish to come in beginning Oct. 25. Its Melbourne office reopens early next month. Both cities are emerging from extended lockdowns aimed at suppressing the delta strain of COVID-19.
