The U.K.’s largest law firms have told their London staff to stay away from the office and work from home as the latest government guidance brings about an earlier than expected remote working period for the end of the year.

The recent rise in cases, largely driven by the new omicron variant, has put the brakes on cautious returns to the office, with some firms instructing their workforce to work from home until at least the new year.
