White & Case and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe have snapped up lawyers from Shearman & Sterling’s associated firm in Italy—just ahead of the launch of Shearman’s merger with Allen & Overy on May 1.
Domenico Fanuele, a partner at Studio Legale Associato Shearman & Sterling, joined White & Case’s M&A and private equity industry group in Milan on April 30. Fanuele, who joins as a partner, was the head of Studio Legale’s Rome and Milan offices and of the firm’s corporate practice.
