LOS ANGELES — At least eight lawyers from ailing Dreier, Stein, Kahan, Browne, Woods, George are joining Snell & Wilmer to open the firm’s first Los Angeles office.

The partners in the group are Marshall Horowitz, Susan Grueneberg, Jason Kim and Henry David. One or two more partners could be joining the firm, as well, said Barry Halpern, a partner in Snell & Wilmer’s Phoenix office who was involved in the planned acquisition. He also said four associates from Dreier Stein are joining the firm’s new Los Angeles office, which will be located downtown. The group is joining the firm on Feb. 1.
