SAN FRANCISCO — Frustrated with what he says is the Judicial Council’s failure to provide adequate oversight of the Administrative Office of the Courts, the president of the California Judges Association said Tuesday that he will urge his fellow jurists to redirect 5 percent of their monthly salaries from an AOC program to their local courts.
CJA President Michael Vicencia, a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge, said Tuesday that unless the Judicial Council takes control of decisions involving salary-setting and pay raises for AOC employees — particularly those in upper management — judges should keep their salary deferrals local.
