SAN FRANCISCO — Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman has picked up insurance litigator Reynold “Rene” Siemens from Proskauer Rose’s Los Angeles office.

Siemens had landed at Proskauer after Heller Ehrman collapsed in the fall of 2008. He is one of just a few partners to have made a second move. Last month, M. Patricia Thayer, formerly the co-chair of Heller’s IP practice, left Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe for Sidley Austin . Ginger Dreger, who moved to Goodwin Procter from Heller several months before its collapse, in December agreed to open a Valley outpost for Arnold & Porter.
