SACRAMENTO — A key state senator said today that she will pursue a legislative countermeasure to AT&T Mobility v. Concepcion, the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling that bolsters companies’ contractual power to bar consumer class actions.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairwoman Noreen Evans, D-Santa Rosa, said in a prepared statement that she and her staff are studying possible actions and that “you can expect to see a bill proposal very soon.” She did not offer specifics.
