SAN FRANCISCO — The judge who heard the Prop 8 case didn’t need to recuse himself because he is in a same-sex relationship, Northern District Chief Judge James Ware ruled today.
In rejecting Proposition 8 supporters’ attempt to undo the judgment striking down the ban on gay marriage, Ware backed his former colleague, Vaughn Walker.
