SACRAMENTO — Brushing aside the demands of identity politics, Gov. Jerry Brown today nominated the fourth Asian-American to the California Supreme Court.
Brown’s nomination of UC-Berkeley School of Law professor Goodwin Liu to fill the seat vacated by Justice Carlos Moreno garnered quick praise from legal groups but disappointment from Latino bar associations.
