SAN FRANCISCO — White-collar lawyers in the Northern District are saying something they haven’t said in awhile: Business here is pretty good.

Interesting investigations are under way. A steady stream of cases is hitting the dockets. U.S. Attorney Melinda Haag, they say, appears to be making some progress toward delivering on promises of a white-collar resurgence.
