SAN FRANCISCO Hewlett-Packard Co. has turned once again to securities lawyers at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius to defend the company against an onslaught of shareholder lawsuits, this time stemming from the company’s 2011 acquisition of Autonomy Corp.
Marc Sonnenfeld, a Philadelphia partner and head of securities litigation for Morgan Lewis, confirmed he will represent Hewlett-Packard in six-and-counting federal class actions that accuse HP executives and board members of breaching their fiduciary duties and grossly overpaying for the British software company in the $11.1 billion transaction.
