SAN JOSE In golf, it’s called a mulligan. And this may be as close as it comes in the world of litigation.
Last summer, U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh in San Jose presided over the epic trial between Apple Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. resulting in a $1.05 billion jury verdict against Samsung. At the same time, Brocade Communications Systems won $110 million from rival A10 Networks in a jury trial before U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul Grewal.
