SAN FRANCISCO — Tesla Motors Inc. skimps on overtime wages and denies meal and rest breaks to its California workers, according to a proposed employment class action filed in Oakland on Friday.

“Defendants have a uniform and unlawful policy of failing to pay overtime wages for hours worked in excess of eight hours per work day,” wrote plaintiffs attorney Hernaldo Baltodano of Baltodano & Baltodano.
