SAN FRANCISCO — David Nosal, the former Korn/Ferry executive whose case made new law under a controversial computer hacking statute, has been sentenced to one year and one day in prison for infiltrating his former employer’s computer system to steal files.
U.S. District Judge Edward Chen handed down the sentence at a hearing on Wednesday afternoon. He also ordered Nosal to spend three years on supervised release and perform 400 hours of community service upon his release.
