BOSTON — U.S. Patent and Trademark Office director David Kappos and the head of the patent examiners’ union debated their organizations’ differing policy viewpoints during a panel discussion at the Association of Corporate Counsel’s annual meeting in Boston this week.
Comments by Kappos and Robert Budens, president of the Patent Office Professional Association, at the “Meet the USPTO Brass” session on Oct. 20 highlighted their differences.
