World Wrestling Entertainment on Thursday denied a report from wrestling author Irv Muchnick that the company fired its general counsel over a sexual harassment claim.

In an e-mail to CorpCounsel.com, the WWE said general counsel Jared Bartie “was not terminated by WWE. Jared Bartie and WWE have parted ways amicably. James Langham is acting general counsel for WWE.”
